Deli Group is the largest stationery company and office and school supplier in China. Its product portfolio covers everything a school and office needs, including stationery, supplies to printers and photocopiers. It is involved in all aspects from production, purchase, sales to transportation. Deli Group has more than 100 warehouses of varying scale nationwide. Prior to the implementation of digital supply chain projects, these ran without any warehouse management system support, resulting in low operating efficiency, low inventory accuracy, and high overall operating costs.
There was also little information consistency among sales, production, transportation and warehouse operations. With a 20% year-on-year increase in in-store and online business, it needed more and more warehouses with an integrated platform. Digital transformation of its warehousing system had become inevitable. With SAP EWM and its implementation partner Westernacher Consulting, Deli Group has attained higher efficiency and accuracy in its warehouses across the nation.
