Westernacher Consulting takes over optimization and automation of the warehouse processes in Czech Republic, Slovenia and Germany at the global automotive supplier HELLA. At the locations in Czech Republic and Slovenia, SAP EWM (MFS) is implemented to control automatic warehouses and linked to the higher-level SAP WM via IDOC interface.
At HELLA central warehouse in Erwitte, Germany, Steffen Strüber, Practice Lead Warehouse Management DACH and EWM Consultant, as well as Udo Steinbach, Practice Director Warehouse Management at Westernacher are supporting on site. Daniel Kramer (IT) and Adrian Horbert, Managing Director of Hella Distribution, are really convinced of the IT know-how and experience of Westernacher experts.
SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) with EWM-MFS (Material Flow System) is used for automation.
The ERP systems of the automatic storage area with high rack warehouses, picking stations, workstations, de-consolidation, buffer areas and transfer trolleys, as well as the automatic small parts warehouse with carton placement and buffer will be connected to a decentralized SAP EWM in order to go live in 2024.
