Amcor Specialty Cartons were seeking to transform their demand planning and forecasting processes. They used to focus primarily on short-term monthly planning, with a lack of mid to long-term forecasting. In addition to misalignments in the data source used by the different functions like sales, finance and supply chain, the process was completely manual and took up a lot of time to put together. Having partnered with Westernacher Consulting, Amcor Specialty Cartons have been able to improve their planning capabilities, and can now do mid to long-term demand planning, increasing transparency at a global level.
With 20 manufacturing sites in 17 countries Amcor Specialty Cartons (ASC), a division of Amcor, is the only specialty carton manufacturer with global capabilities. They help leading companies differentiate their products and increase sales through premium-look cartons. ASC primarily serve customers in the tobacco industry. Specialty Cartons use converting and printing processes to ensure folding carton packaging meets quality and regulatory requirements, helps to retain brand equity at the point-of-sale and beyond, and provides critical product information to end users. In addition, ASC also serve selective customers in non-tobacco segments.
