SAP IBP 2311 is scheduled for release on Oct 28, 2023, for test and demo systems and Nov 11, 2023, for production systems. Here are the five top new improvements for IBP 2311.
In addition to these top enhancements, there are several other notable improvements across various functionalities, including Planning UIs (both IBP Excel Add-in and Planner Workspace) and Transportation Load Building.
You can now create analytics stories for order-based planning areas with flexible master data and display external key figures in your charts and tables.
Keyboard shortcuts enable you to navigate the user interface and access functions efficiently. The following table gives an overview of the most important keyboard shortcuts. Further details can be found in the SAP Help Portal.

The keyboard shortcuts perform the same actions done as selecting the respective functions in the SAP IBP ribbon. Please note: The keyboard shortcuts do not work for master data workbooks.
User is enabled to view Open Forecast that is calculated based on simplified key figure function “IBP_CONSUMPTION”. Forecasts are consumed/reduced by integrated sales order items to avoid duplicated planning on both forecast and sales order requirements.

This function optimizes the planning results by limiting the number of products and/or types of products (e.g., size, flavor, pack, color etc.) planned on a resource within a given planning period to minimize setup times. This feature is exclusively supported by time-series-based optimization.
