Your Development – At Westernacher you are in charge.

We don’t try to retrofit people to set career tracks. When you start out with us,we look at you as an individual. We sit down and discuss your interests and assess your strengths over the first month. We don’t try to make you earn your place here with a rigid system of hoops and pre-requisites. You are an individual with your personal set of qualities. At Westernacher, we want to focus on leveraging and developing your strengths. While applying a rigorous set of learning targets and skill acquisition goals, we try to match your ambitions with ours. To achieve this, we will assign you a buddy and mentor to accompany you as you find your feet.

Learning & Training

When you start out, the most important learning is done ‘on the job’. To prepare you for this we will provide you with some structured technical and non-technical training in the first few months. As you progress, we offer a range of structured and unstructured training possibilities – on and off the job or project. As part of your annual personal development review, we will explore what learning opportunities might be best for your progress. Development isn’t just about learning, it’s about personal growth. We encourage even our junior associates to take the lead on certain project tasks and to get involved in creating and providing training for others or to act as a buddy to the next generation of new recruits.

Coaching

When you start, we will assign you a coach and a buddy to help you navigate your way within Westernacher and your practice or functional area. They will help ensure that you get the information and guidance you need in order to get off to a great start. In addition, we look at every performance review, whether it is on a project or your annual review, as an opportunity to provide meaningful feedback, counseling and coaching. These conversations should challenge you to explore your individual interests and strengths in the context of your long-term career development.

As an experienced professional, you can share your expertise as a trainer, coach, and mentor to others on and off projects. This is not only a form of giving back – but also a way for you to develop and grow your leadership and communication skills. There is also a range of interest groups outside of our regular operations such as our Charity Committee or Sustainability Group for you to become involved in.

Coaching

As you begin your journey with us, we will ensure that everyone has a coach within the organization. As a more experienced professional, you get a choice in who your assigned coach will be. We will guide you in your choices based on your specific interests. Application process.

We run a fair and objective recruitment process that reflects our values. Throughout the application and interview process, we have plenty of opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your aims and ambitions and learn about the role you can play in our organization. We’ll be clear about what we’re looking for and will answer your questions as fully as possible, so we can both decide if we’re right for each other.

What paperwork will I need?

For a complete applications we will need your cover letter, CV or resume, diplomas and a list of references or reference letters if you have them.

How do I submit the application?

Please apply online here for a position of interest at Westernacher. You will be redirected to our applicant portal, where you will be guided through the application form and given the option to upload documents directly computer. If you have questions along the way, you can always contact our recruiting team.

What is our recruitment process?

After we have received your documents, you will get a written confirmation. When selected, the first step is a phone interview. Promising candidates are then invited to a video or in person interview at one of our locations, followed by an assessment center or additional interviews.

Who are we looking for?

We are interested in people who are passionate about what they do. We look for open-minded and energetic characters, with university graduates, young professionals with first consulting-relevant experiences, as well as highly experienced consultants, project managers, and business experts. We welcome driven, customer-oriented and service-minded individuals with good analytical and conceptual competences as well as strong interpersonal skills.
