On December 8th Westernacher Taiwan held an anniversary celebration ceremony and a tea party on digital supply chains in Taipei 101 – the tallest building in Taiwan where our Taiwan office is located.
We were very honored to have Mr. Axel Limberg, Executive Director German Trade Office Taiwan, and Professor Ping-Yu Hsu, Dean of the School of Management of National Central University, address us at the beginning of the ceremony. Together with our special guests, Benjamin Dewilde, Westernacher Group CEO, and Howard Tsai, Westernacher Consulting Taiwan Market Unit Lead, cut the ribbon and birthday cake to celebrate the first anniversary of our Taiwan office. Representatives from SAP and many partner companies were gathered at the event, sharing the joyful and festive moment.
During the tea party Dewilde delivered an insightful speech on how to leap to the sixth wave of innovation, followed by Tsai’s intriguing presentation on what digital supply chains looked like in the last decade in Taiwan. The supply chain tea party was very well received, with 90% of our SAP EWM and TM customers in Taiwan present. Tranceed Logistics Company was one of them. We took this opportunity to congratulate them on the successful go-live of SAP TM implementation, which is the first SAP TM project of Westernacher Taiwan. Dewilde presented the Tranceed team with a green autographed Guaiguai1 as a congratulatory gesture.

1 Guaiguai: 乖乖 in Chinese. A software implementation mascot presented at successful go-lives as part of the Taiwanese culture. Literally it means “behave well”. The red and yellow packages of Guaiguai are taboos.
