Round-table: Seamless Supply Chain Integration: Optimizing Operations from Procurement to Delivery with Nutrien, Cascades and Westernacher.
March 14, 2024

Join Westernacher for a dynamic roundtable session at SAP Innovation Days with two industry leaders, Nutrien and Cascades. Nutrien, a prominent agricultural enterprise, embarked on a transformative journey by implementing SAP S/4-TM-EWM across its retail and seed businesses. This initiative aimed to unify logistics operations, seamlessly connecting warehousing and transportation activities to streamline cross-docking scenarios. Despite operating in an industry characterized by substantial material fluctuations, Nutrien successfully ensured data accuracy and operational efficiency through this integrated solution.

Meanwhile, Cascades Inc., a packaging producer based in Kingsley Falls, Quebec, implemented SAP Yard Logistics (YL) at its Bear Island site in Ashland, Virginia. This strategic move facilitated the conversion of the facility into a cutting-edge containerboard production site. By integrating SAP YL with existing Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay processes, Cascades optimizes daily loading and unloading operations, aiming for enhanced operational efficiency. With an annual volume projection of 465,000 tons and up to 150 trailers daily, SAP YL automates critical process steps, minimizes user interactions, and provides real-time visibility into dock status and trailer movements.

Join a dialogue with Cascades and Nutrien around supply chain transformations, challenges, lessons learned, and how SAP supports innovative solutions to problems in the logistics world.
