- High error rate
- Data inconsistencies due to managing multiple interconnected sheets
- Complex, labor-intensive workflow
- Increased time required to complete the planning close cycle
Westernacher’s approach was simple yet effective: start with process design workshops, then proceed to solution planning and technical delivery modeling. In hindsight, this approach seems obvious. One of the impressive aspects was how quickly the Westernacher team understood TTTech’s unique processes. Considering where we started, there were numerous challenges and complexities that needed to be addressed first. The final solution had to be easily deployable across multiple global regions, making the SAP Analytics Cloud solution an ideal choice. Security was also a significant concern, meticulously addressed by the joint TTTech and Westernacher team. They implemented security measures at the process, data and report levels, with an added level of complexity through Matrix Security.
The delivery model for the project was based on Westernacher’s proprietary Q Methodology, a blend of Waterfall and Agile approaches. Key to the project’s success was the team structure and collaboration – so much so that the lines between Westernacher and TTTech teams blurred. TTTech’s super collaborative approach and quick decision-making ensured that all key stakeholders were committed to process optimization and simplification.
The solution was designed to be scalable, adaptable to evolving business needs, and capable of supporting long-term sustainability in the cost center planning process. This transformation not only improved the efficiency and accuracy of the planning process at TTTech but also laid the foundation for future growth and innovation.
Above all, it was a rewarding experience that resulted in increased productivity. We successfully delivered a complex project on time and on budget, all within a period of 9 months.
