The launch of the UK outsourcing warehouse requires the completion of the system integration between Mindray’s SAP system and the LYDIA system of outsourcing warehouse. This integration aims to achieve seamless processes for sending and receiving, storage, and execution of STO orders. Through this system integration, the transportation of goods can be achieved, ensuring a smooth connection between the UK market and customer needs. This integrated approach facilitates the entire business from order to delivery.
- Based on the business model of the Netherlands, establish for the British branch the business process and system functions applicable to sales and service.
- Cover aspects from customer ordering to planning, cross-company transactions, local and headquarters delivery and other end-to-end business processes and system functions.
- Open transaction path from the UK to Hong Kong to the headquarters.
- Realize UK MRP function, order and delivery processing at the headquarters.
- Outbound orders are sent directly from the UK plant.
- EDI Integration to the LYDIA 3PL system.
- Based on the UK model, extend the functionality and integrate the LYDIA system to support the new business requirement.
- Successfully manage challenges in the project, such as a lack of original documentation and heavy data conversion tasks.
- Coordinate with multiple teams (consultants, local/HQ IT, LYDIA vendor and data team, UK/NL business) to ensure successful project delivery.
This project started with many challenges, such as lack of documentation and an unclear scope and change in the business timeline. The Westernacher team demonstrated a persistent attitude by delving deep into to the coding of the original solution and fine-tuning based on the understanding of the new business needs. They ultimately delivered successfully, showcasing the performance of a professional consulting company. Once again, as a key partner of Mindray IT, we appreciate the flexibility in maintaining minimum costs and ensuring reliable delivery quality, even when facing two changes in the business timeline.
