Rushil Décor Ltd is a leader in laminate and medium-density fiberboard (MDF) industry in India with a global footprint in more than 50 countries. Established in 1993, it has grown into one of India’s largest manufacturers of laminates and complementary products. To support its expanding market, the company sought a digital transformation to streamline its logistics processes, simplify business operations, and significantly enhance efficiency. Renowned for its expertise in digital transformation, Westernacher Consulting was enlisted to implement SAP S/4HANA across six production plants and 25 depots for Rushil Décor. Consequently, the company reaped the benefits of digitized business processes in just seven months.
The implementation of SAP S/4HANA offers strategic advantages such as expense monitoring, increased operational efficiencies, and the simplification and digitalization of business processes. These improvements enable the company to better focus on its core competencies and business economy, according to Rushil Thakkar, Executive Director at Rushil Décor.
Implementing SAP S/4HANA was a key decision made by the management, and finding the right partner was of paramount importance. “Westernacher came in like a game-changer because they implemented best practices, brought in the right change management, completed the project within the right timeline by ensuring rigorous training and adaptability of business process in the right manner,” said Chirag Vyas, Project Manager at Rushil Décor.
SAP S/4HANA is fundamental for sustainable innovation. By harnessing the power of this future-proofed ERP system – characterized by its speed, simplicity, and data accessibility – Rushil Décor has achieved numerous benefits following the successful go-live of the project. These include a 40-50% reduction in period-end close time, 99% accuracy in customer dispatch, more than a 50% increase in team productivity, and a 10% reduction in total logistics costs.
“Our implementations, rooted in change management and industry best practices, precisely addressed their challenges, ensuring a robust transformation of people, process, and technology,” said Amit Amin, Market Unit Lead for India, SEA, ANZ & ME at Westernacher Consulting.
Roopesh Shah, Solution Architect at Westernacher Consulting, attributed the success of this project to the early engagement of users, a dedicated team for data migration and effective change management practices.
Thakkar is particularly pleased with the faster strategic decision-making process enabled by the transformation, as it was previously time-consuming. “We now have efficient supply chain management, which has also accelerated our procurement process,” said Thakkar.
With Westernacher implementing SAP S/4HANA, Rushil Décor achieved streamlined processes, standardized data, and integrated finance and business operations. Modern, innovative and sustainable logistics processes have now become a reality.
