The picking process is divided into two separate steps. Pick the entire quantity of goods needed to fill requests. Depending on the type of warehouse and storage zone, the orders are first picked by the picker and then distributed to individual orders at the packing station. Two-step picking in SAP S/4HANA EWM 2022 can be implemented for businesses of all sizes that operate warehouses or distribution centers. It is mainly seen in retail distribution warehouses, assuming multiple hubs/stores order quantities. Products are picked via waves with two steps in the distribution center:
