In the bustling hub of Hsinchu City, Taiwan, where the world’s goods come and go, Tranceed Logistics Co Ltd is an industry leader with a mission to deliver excellence in logistics services. Specializing in freight trucking, transportation, and warehouse management, Tranceed possesses a workforce of approximately 170 employees. Recognizing the need for continuous improvement, the logistics company embarked on a strategic initiative to transform its logistics operations. The primary objectives were to enhance efficiency, transparency, and ultimately, customer satisfaction. Tranceed’s successful go-live of the integrated SAP TM and EWM system marks a historic first for Taiwan.
Following a long period of assessment and alignment, Tranceed made the decision to implement an integrated SAP TM and EWM system, since it has demonstrated success in numerous logistics companies worldwide. Tranceed aimed to consolidate warehousing and transportation logistics on the same digital platform to elevate efficiency and visibility.
Once the decision was clear, Tranceed initiated the process of streamlining operations and identified pain points prior to their search for a reliable and experienced implementation partner.
“Tranceed chose Westernacher Consulting as its SAP EWM and TM system implementation partner because Westernacher is the world’s No.1 implementer of SAP EWM and TM,” said Shih Ching Hsuan, CIO at Tranceed Logistics. “Westernacher has managed the world’s largest number of successful cases of SAP EWM and TM, thereby absorbing the essence of logistics operations across various enterprises,” Shih added.
Tsai Hsiao Yueh, Market Unit Lead at Westernacher Taiwan, was very proud of this achievement – accomplishing the very first SAP TM and EWM integration project on the island.
“We’ve supported Tranceed in building a blueprint for the overall logistics operation process, from front-end warehousing to transportation, so that the various departments of Tranceed can work closely together, and that the information is accurate and efficient in real time,” said Tsai.
Shih Chia Sheng, General Manager at Tranceed Logistics, was impressed by the communication, consultation and supply chain expertise provided by Westernacher. “During the implementation process, Westernacher consultants demonstrated their supply chain expertise, fully communicated with Tranceed’s transportation and warehousing field personnel to understand the requirements, and gave advice and counseling based on industry experience,” said Shih.
Tranceed’s digital logistics system was launched on schedule as planned, thanks to the seamless collaboration between Tranceed and Westernacher. The integration of SAP TM and EWM boosted Tranceed’s warehouse operation accuracy to 99.9%, and the efficiency of transportation expense calculation has surged by more than 20%.
By undergoing this digital transformation in logistics, Tranceed is poised to reach its next operational milestone and attain the goal of sustainable development.
