Starting from a single-site deployment, the solution was rolled out across facilities in India, Greece, the UK, and external manufacturing partners.

Today, demand and supply planning are connected across more than 150 distribution points, manufacturing sites, contract manufacturers, and loan-licensing partners. The project delivered measurable results, including a 15% reduction in input-material inventory, a 20% shorter demand-to-delivery cycle, and a significant improvement in planning adoption and supply chain visibility.

The Challenge – Expanding SAP IBP to Support Global Growth.

As the business expanded, planning processes varied across regions, plants, and business units. Forecasting and supply planning often relied on local spreadsheets and disconnected processes, making it difficult to gain end-to-end visibility and align supply with demand.

Intas needed a consistent planning approach across its global network, greater confidence in planning decisions, and the ability to integrate external manufacturing partners into a single planning process.

Although SAP IBP was already live at the Matoda manufacturing site, the next challenge was to drive user adoption and scale the solution across the wider organization.

The Solution – Connecting Global Operations Through a Unified Planning Process.

Westernacher Consulting joined the program in 2025 to help stabilize, optimize, and expand SAP IBP across Intas’ manufacturing operations.

The initial focus was on increasing planner confidence in the system. Through planning simulations, data-quality improvements, training, and hands-on coaching, SAP IBP became an integral part of daily planning activities.

Following the successful stabilization at Matoda, Intas expanded SAP IBP to additional manufacturing sites in India, Greece, and the UK. The solution was also extended to contract manufacturers, loan-licensing partners, and specialized business units including biopharma, plasma, and API operations.

The result is an integrated planning environment that connects markets, warehouses, production sites, suppliers, and external partners through a single planning process.
